Our Values Ministry Focused
These are our values, which are important to us. They are not in
any order of priority, but have equal weight. These values are about
reaching one more for Jesus!
Culturally Oriented
We do not go with the mindset of presenting our own ways, but we
go to meet the needs of the people in the community through Jesus. We
observe what God is doing and we walk by his side to assist in his
kingdom work. What we do is become part of that culture (I Corinthians
9:19-22). We do not compromise our beliefs, virtues, or values in the
Lord, but we come along side the culture as brothers and sisters in
Christ (Hebrews 2:11).
Youth and Adult Minded
We are about connecting teens and adults around the world who will
serve together for the purpose of making differences in people's lives.
We aim to take them out of their comfort zone by placing them in
cross-cultural settings. We design our mission trips to meet the needs
of the group, while creating ministry challenges that allow them to
meet Jesus head on.
Relationally Driven
Our objective is to build long lasting partnerships and
relationships at home and overseas. We do not want to be a fly-by-night
operation, but desire to serve for the long haul (Philippians 3:12-14).
We want to make lasting friends with the people we serve and with the
people who participate in our trips. Why? Because this is when trust is
created and where people are listened to and heard.
Servant LeadershipWe desire to emulate the model of Christ found in John 13:5-20. By serving the church, pastors, youth pastors, and adult leaders we find leadership becoming infectious and a chain reaching occurs...the whole body comes together in supporting kingdom work (Ephesians 4:16). Thus, we discover adults serving teens, teens serving communities, and communities serving the world. By serving one another as Jesus commands, we also serve Christ, which we believe is contagious! Life ChangingWe are about taking youth and adults to a greater level in their walk with Christ through fellowship, discipleship, mentoring, experiential learning, and much more. When Jesus is involved, the direction of our lives is changed forever. We desire to present the truth and challenge of Christ in all aspects of our mission trips. Why do we do this? It's clear. Peter tells us in scripture to always be prepared to give answer to everyone who asks you to give reason for the hope that you have (1 Peter 3:15-16). Multi-denominationalWe believe it is God's desire to reach the entire world. There is so much that divides and separates us in the church today. At times, there is such a great focus on denominational similarities and differences that we lose sight on what God has called us to do...to reach the world in his name. So we attempt to break the barriers and bring denominations together, adults and teens, to share the experience of serving Jesus together (Book of Acts)! Ministry FocusedThis is the heart and soul of our work, which is found through our actions and our relationship. We bring the message of Jesus to people around the world in two ways through (1) physical work projects (action) and (2) community outreach (relational).
