Yangzhou, China was built in 486 B.C. and became not only a political and military base of southeastern China in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220), but also an important distribution center of grain, salt and iron in China, and a major harbor as well because of its favorable location in the Jianghuai Plain. With a long history and flourishing culture, it is blessed with pleasant weather and verdant natural landscapes. We have been invited to a cross-cultural exchange where-by we will work alongside eight cell groups (of 20-30 people each) whose vision is to be able to provide care for the widows, orphans, and mentally handicapped among them. In addition this cross-cultural exchange, they are seeking assistance to increase the productivity of their farm to become self-supporting and to help provide for the needs of the poor. Whatever your gift, it will be put to good use here!
